The internet could and should be paying you

Internet

Welcome to my site. As someone interested in making money, I’m always alert to the possibilities that most people pass off as a waste of time or the ranting of a materialist. In some cases they’re right: not everything will ever come to fruition. What works for one person doesn’t particularly work for another.

Anyway, for what it’s worth I’d like to share my findings, discoveries, tips and successes throughout my site, updated as and when necessary.

I believe way too many people are apathetic to the opportunities available on the internet. This is understandable considering the get-rich-quick schemes, the money making promises, the reports of successful young entrepreneurs relaxing in silicon valley while the rest of use plod on with the day job, waiting for our ship to come in.

I’m not writing this article just to get people excited only to tear them back down and leave them floundering in reality. I want to shake them, slap their faces, tell them to seriously research what the average man or woman can achieve even if only in their spare time. I'm not saying quit your job, I'm suggesting a hobby could become a livelihood.

People seem to forget that the internet isn’t free, as great and useful as it is. You need to work to pay the bills after all, so why are you working for the internet when the internet should be working for you? We hear all the time in the news how much big websites sell for, how much advertising is worth, the forecast profits of online shopping and so on. All you and I need is a small slice – no – a slither, of this cyber pie to be making a little bit of extra cash. Don’t think that internet incomes are only reserved for a certain type. Don’t think for a second that only “technical” people can do it. That is where the problem lies. People either don’t try, or don’t know how to.

Saving money and controlling expenditure is as useful too. Through the internet I have personally saved money on products or services I was already using offline, and have since switched or migrated to better providers, freeing up extra cash. Most of my shopping is done online and saves me time and money. A popular and obvious example.

As a useful nudge in the right direction, visit www.moneysavingexpert.com if you haven’t already. It’s free to use, very extensive, and described as a “consumer revenge” site. An absolutely fantastic resource regularly featured in the British media.

It's worth having a quick look at this article if you haven't already. Do you have your own domain? Do you have some decent content? Would you like to earn some revenue by selling advertising space on your site? Just remember what the internet is and what's possible with only a few clicks.
